Will it work on my phone?
If your phone already has games installed that's a good sign. If you know your phone is 'Java-enabled' then the crossword application will definitely work.

How do I get the puzzles onto my phone?
Most phones use a data channel to download games. Subscribers can download new puzzles every day by choosing "Get crosswords" from the game menu.

Is it expensive to download the crosswords?
Data charges may be part of your monthly call plan (like text messages) or they may be charged separately at about £3-£7 per megabyte. The daily crossword download is about 2.8 kilobytes so should cost about 0.8p-2p a day.

Where and when can I play?
You can download new crosswords every day and play where and when you like. Each puzzle is saved on your phone until you delete it, so you can save them up for long journeys.

What if I get stuck on a clue?
Unlike the pen and paper approach to crosswords, on your mobile you can have as many attempts at a clue as you like. If you get it wrong, just delete it and try again. Solutions are available the following day.

What if I get interrupted halfway through?
If your train or bus arrives at your stop before your moment of triumph, a handy stop/start feature means your progress is saved and you can pick up where you left off.

What mobile phone networks are compatible?
The crossword service is ideal for any phone over any network (UK or overseas). If you change your phone number or handset your subscription goes with you.

What about PDAs, Smartphones and Blackberrys?
Palm or Windows PDAs, O2 XDA or Orange Treo smartphones, and most BlackBerry devices with an internet/email connection are compatible with the crossword service.

If you are dissatisfied in any way within two weeks of purchase we'll refund your payment without question. You can cancel your subscription at anytime by emailing customerservice@roundpoint.com

Your subscription is set up to enable you to use both your phone and your PDA as you choose and can be switched when you change numbers or handsets.

Vodafone customers
To get your new crosswords each day, either use the "Get Crosswords" command using your internet connection on the phone (rather than the Vodafone Live connection), or use the Vodafone Live connection and reinstall each day using the link we send you to get started.
